Q: What are the different colours I can have?
A: The ability to put in different colour lights into different rooms is one of the key strengths to LED lighting. Our LED bulbs are generally available in 3 colours:
Warm White (2,700K - 3,300K) – with a warm glow this lighting appearance is the most similar to the light emitted from existing halogen and low energy bulbs. You will commonly find this colour bulb in family rooms and cosy meeting areas.
·Day White (4,000K - 4,500K) – this lighting appearance is similar to the natural light we see and is becoming more popular as an alternative to the warm white appearance. You will typically find this colour bulb in reception and office areas.
·Cool White (5,500K - 6,500K) – this lighting appearance is brighter than other appearances and can be described as having a clinical feel. A bulb of this colour is commonly suited to kitchens, commercial areas and hospitals where a ‘cleaner’ light is preferred.
Q: How can I replace halogen lamps with LED lamps?
A: Here below are the details how you can replace halogen lamps with LED lamps.
It is important to pay attention to the lamp base. A 12V halogen lamp can have a G4, G53, GU5.3 lamp base.
230V halogen lamps can have a GU10, E14 or E27 lamp base.
At the same time it is also important to keep the voltage on the same level.
If you have a halogen 12V, choose GU5.3 / MR16 LED lamps LV (12V), G4 / MR11 LED lamps (12V) and / or for AR111 G53 LED lamps (12V).
If you have a 230V halogen lamp, you should opt for the LED spot GU10 LED bulbs (230V) E27 LED bulbs (thick socket, 230V) and / or LED lamps for E14 (thin cap, 230V).
Q: I already have holes in my ceiling for my existing lights. Do I need to cut new ones?
A: Depending on what type of lamp you require. Retrofit plug-and-play lamps should fit into your existing lamp fixtures and connectors. If you require brighter LED lamps, which in turn require larger heat sinks, you may have to cut larger holes. Hole diameter should be displayed on the product specification.
